Product Introduction:Pot magnets, also called cup magnets or mounting magnets, feature a protective steel shell surrounding the permanent magnet. This steel shell is usually cup-shaped, which is why they are properly called "pot" magnets.

Inside the shell, the permanent magnet is either a NdFeB magnet or a SmCo magnet or a ferrite magnet, among others. The main purpose of magnetic assemblies is to enhance magnetic force and protect permanent magnets from potential damage caused by repeated impacts, while offering a variety of application-specific solutions.

 

Working principle

1. Principle of magnetic force concentration: The steel shell has a high magnetic permeability, which can guide and focus the magnetic lines of the magnet on the pot magnet, so that the magnetic force is concentrated on only one surface, which is stronger than the simple magnet of the same size. When the pot magnet is attached to the ferromagnetic material, a completely closed magnetic circuit is formed, which further enhances its magnetic force.

 2. Principle of electromagnetic induction: In some applications, such as smart rice cookers, the permanent magnet in the pot magnet acts as a conductor. When it is located in the magnetic field generated by the coil, the free electrons inside it move in a directional manner under the action of the magnetic field, forming an electric current. According to Joule's law, the current passing through the conductor will generate heat, thereby realizing the heating function.
