Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI):
Magnets are used in MRI machines to create the powerful magnetic fields needed for detailed internal images. Many "open" MRI machines use large magnets to help align protons in the body for imaging. The magnetic field created by the MRI scanner aligns hydrogen protons in the body. Radiofrequency waves are then applied, causing these protons to emit signals that are used to create detailed images. MRI is a valuable diagnostic tool for evaluating soft tissues, organs, and certain medical conditions.

Magnetic drug delivery:
Magnetic nanoparticles can be used to deliver drugs to specific areas of the body. By attaching drugs to these nanoparticles and applying a magnetic field, the particles can be directed to the desired target, increasing the efficiency of drug release and reducing side effects.

Magnetic surgical devices:
